Ten years ago I started my restoration company as a brand new start up. There was me, one technician, and one service van. A decade later I sold my business as a hyper-growth award-winning company gaining top dollar for the sale. During the span of my ownership my company became active on many of the National Third Party Administrator Networks, we served as a program contractor for nearly 30 major insurance carriers, and we were licensed in 14 municipalities as a General Contractor.

During the second half of that journey my company began being recognized by a number of local, state, and national agencies for various performance awards. These included Forbes Magazine’s Best in Business Award for Colorado; Contractor Connection's Top Performer Award; and Professional Remodeler’s America’s Top Remodeler Award. The decade of work ended achieving a remarkable average annual growth rate of nearly 50%.

Today, I do for others what I enjoy most - I help restoration and construction company owners grow their business. With a proven track record of success I help owners reach their maximum effectiveness and greatest results!

He is a conference speaker, author and a recipient of the Lifetime Global Who’s Who & Top Professional Award.

Jack Dennison shares his restoration industry experience and success with his highly skilled wife and partner Jackie Dennison who spent 25 years in commercial real estate property management and brokerage prior to joining him in the Restoration Industry. She served as a Property Manager in Denver’s elite downtown business district, at the time the largest commercial property holding in the Western States where she excelled in operations efficiency and excellence. She is a recipient of the Who’s Who in America Award.

After selling their restoration company the Dennison’s launched their newest business venture. The Restoration Entrepreneur provides business coaching services to restoration business owners helping them achieve greater success in business. Our experience in the Restoration and Insurance Industry was remarkable. I remember the first day driving to the office and found 1 car outside for the 1 water damage technician and 1 service van. Through solid Business Development steps and a commitment to an exceptional customer experience we grew, and continued to grow. I began as a mitigation only company providing emergency water damage services and after three years added full construction services. That was the best business decision I ever made. The Insurance industry is moving toward larger full service restoration contractors who can manage every phase of the project from start to finish. We did the right thing at the right time as evidenced by our continued success and growth.

We provided full services of emergency water extraction, fire cleaning, and mold remediation and established a state-of-the-art Fire Center and Contents Processing Center. In construction there was no job we could not handle and after several years of General Contracting we added Roofing Services to our skill set which was another huge addition to accelerating gross revenue and increasing net profits.

When we sold our business two-thirds of our revenue was coming from construction services. Becoming Full Service presents a key opportunity for mitigation or construction only companies. Becoming Full Service was transformational for our business success.

Rainbow International of Southern Colorado was a fresh startup in December 2004. I knew nothing about the Restoration Industry and looked to my Rainbow Regional Manager for just about everything. My experience with Rainbow International was an exceptional one. The systems, technical training, and personal support of a franchisor was essential to my early success.

I was a good business man having successfully launched several other companies in other industries and worked hard to master the technical base for our industry. IICRC training, Haag, Xactimate, and other courses became essential training opportunities. Having the personal support from the franchisor and the many other owners of our nationwide network were equally valuable.

Our company became known for its consistent growth and we soon became known as one of the top and rising stars. By the end of the first year we went from one technician and one service van to three technicians. In January 2007 I bought out the franchise in Colorado Springs and went from a service coverage area population of 260,000 to over one million. We doubled revenue in each of the first 3 years and were over $1,000,000 in gross revenue by the end of our third year.

I learned that with any business you have to learn quickly, master the right things, market wisely, be strategic, and work hard. Developing a solid business development plan propelled our revenue growth. By the second year we were on our first Third Party Administrator and our first Insurance Carrier Preferred Contractor Program. I intuitively sensed the national trend for the Restoration Industry was moving toward TPA’s and Program work and to full service for restoration companies. In 2007 we first entered the construction services arena. Like with many new service areas it took us time to fully master the new services but once we did our growth skyrocketed. I was right about the national trends and both factors defined our company and our development plans.
