Key responsibilities:
* Develop and execute Yelp's communications and business marketing strategies across 8 markets in the APAC region (Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, and Taiwan).

* Conduct all proactive and reactive media relations with national consumer and business media outlets and act as Yelp's primary spokesperson in the region for all media.
* Lead Yelp's marketing to small and medium businesses in APAC which consists of digital marketing tactics (EDMs, blog oversight/content marketing, webinars, social media, etc); speaking engagements at industry conferences and events; editorials in trade press; and representation at industry tradeshows.
* During my tenure, "claimed" business in Australia (a key metric of business owner engagement on Yelp) have risen 25%+ year over year (y-o-y).
* Guide the development of quarterly consumer marketing campaigns and communications for Yelp in each market. This includes oversight of/support for: copy for email campaigns, social media and content marketing, and events.
* During my tenure, monthly active users on Yelp in APAC have risen 20% y-o-y.
* Set strategy and direction for multiple marketing and communications agencies in the region and manage their performance.
* Develop and execute the launch strategy for Yelp's new markets in the region (including Taiwan, Malaysia, and the Philippines).
* For exemplary work, my role was expanded in focus from Australia and New Zealand to all of the Asia Pacific region in May 2015 and I was promoted from Manager to Senior Manager in August 2016.

Key achievement: Yelp's Growth in Asia Pacific In my time at Yelp, I've grown from managing communications and business marketing in Australia to overseeing all communications and business marketing in eight APAC markets.

This has included three country launches and some of the company's fastest growth internationally. Yelp has grown steadily in Australia with annual user growth in excess of 20%, increased share of voice in the media, and upticks in brand awareness with consumers and business owners.
Senior Consultant
Key responsibilities:
* Through the consultancy's model, I acted as deputy leader of the Communications function for Fonterra's Australian business, a $2 billion consumer goods business.
* Helped design and oversaw all media engagement and thought leadership activities for Fonterra Australia (including the C-suite) and supported these activities with development of key messages, media releases, interview briefings and opinion pieces.
* Led communications strategy and activities for Fonterra Australia's milk supply division (which sourced milk from over 1,500 farmers across Australia), worked closely with a wide range of industry stakeholders, and oversaw junior staff.

* Developed marketing communications for Fonterra's consumer products division and worked with agency support on new product launches and brand marketing strategies.
* Led Fonterra Australia's government relations function, including strategy development, policy analysis and engagement with government stakeholders and industry bodies.
* Proactively identified and responded to issues and crises affecting Fonterra Australia.
* Supported other consultancy clients and projects (with work similar to the above) including Aldi, Queensland Sugar, First Data, Red Energy, and Citipower.
* For exemplary work, I was promoted to Senior Consultant from Intermediate Consultant in February 2014.

Key achievement: Fonterra's 2013 precautionary recall Fonterra is the world's largest dairy exporter and at Fonterra Baldwin Boyle Group consultants served as the in-house corporate affairs team.

In late 2013, a dairy ingredient manufactured by Fonterra tested positive for botulism. This ingredient had been exported to 10 customers (including some of the world's largest food and pharmaceutical companies) in 12 markets across Asia and the Middle East.

I helped lead Fonterra's communications response in Australia and supported teams in SE Asia and New Zealand with local responses.
Coordinator, Communications and Policy
Key responsibilities:
* Supported the Council's public relations and communications strategies and activities with media releases, social media management, opinion pieces and white papers.
* Wrote media briefings, talking points, fact sheets, and speeches for the Council President.
* Delivered a digital news service that compiled news and analysis on U.S. and Indian economic, market and industry trends. Under my oversight, the service grew over 50 percent to reach 20,000+ subscribers each day.
* Organised events and programs - from CEO-level briefings to annual general meetings - for the Council's member companies and U.S. and Indian government officials.
* Conducted policy research and analysis on Indian regulatory and trade policies and compiled into briefings for member companies and U.S. Government officials.
* Coordinated business development missions for U.S. member companies in India, facilitating networking opportunities and meetings with Indian government officials.

Key achievement:

Presidential Mission to India In 2011, the U.S. - India Business Council was a partner organisation to President Obama's visit to India, leading a delegation of U.S. member companies for the visit. In conjunction with White House staff, I supported the Council's media efforts for the trip.
Key responsibilities:
* Developed, composed, and edited articles on economics and international affairs for the World Bank's international development website and blog, "Youthink!".
* Supported the website's public relations and communications strategy to build its network of contributors, editors and readers.
Key responsibilities:
* Composed briefings on political and economic trends in APAC countries for Institute leadership.
* Compiled monitoring and evaluation reports for the Institute's aid programs in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Cambodia and Indonesia.
* Reviewed applications for U.S. and international grant rounds.
