General information:

D-Orbit is the global market leader in the space logistics and transportation service industries with a track record of space-proven technologies, successful missions, and customer outcomes. The company has developed proprietary space logistics technology and transportation solutions to accelerate the growth and development of a trillion-dollar space economy through an incremental strategic approach to the space marketplace to deliver successful customer outcomes today while developing advanced products and services for the needs of tomorrow.

Founded in 2011. With a manifest of future missions fully booked by new and returning customers, the company has already successfully flown more thant 40 payloads. D-Orbit is the first company addressing the logistics needs of the space market. Its forward-thinking view has enabled it to consistently create solutions for its customers that save them money and time, like ION Cargo Spacecraft, a vehicle that can transport satellites in orbit and release them individually into distinct orbital slots, and a proprietary cloud-based mission control software suite designed to control entire satellite constellations.

As it looks to the future, D-Orbit is already developing and testing new technologies to extend the life of satellites in orbit, perform active debris removal, enable interplanetary space logistics, and more. D-Orbit is creating an infrastructure that will broaden humankind’s opportunities to operate in space and colonize the solar system.

INORBIT NOW LAUNCH AND DEPLOYMENT SERVICES

InOrbit NOW offers launch and deployment services through a CubeSat and microsatellites deployer called ION Satellite Carrier and proprietary dispensers called DPODs and DCUBEs.

ION SATELLITE CARRIER is a platform able to modify its own orientation, altitude, and local time of ascending node (LTAN) to quickly deploy CubeSats and microsatellites into precise and independent orbital slots, allowing customers to start their missions faster and in optimal operational conditions.

DPODs and DCUBEs are proprietary dispensers available in four form factors, for CubeSats between 1U and 16U+ and compatible with the major launch providers. They can be used as a stand-alone product or integrated inside ION.

ION IOD/IOV is a plug-and-play platform for in-orbit demonstration and validation based on ION Satellite Carrier. The platform provides well defined mechanical, electrical, and data interfaces, access to host resources, attitude control, flexible pricing, and multiple launch options in LEO, SSO, and GEO.

InOrbit NOW provides mission analysis and design, platform engineering support, software development, acceptance testing, transportation, and launch and deployment insurance.

AURORA
Product category:
Software & services

Aurora is a powerful cloud-based mission control software suite designed to control a single satellite or a complete constellation through a user-friendly, fully customizable control interface.

Always up to date: Aurora’s cloud architecture enables operators to significantly reduce mission costs by eliminating all the expenses connected to software design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Custom User Interface: The user interface can be customized to the needs and preferences of individual mission operators.

Flexible IT infrastructure: A web interface enables the use of cheap, commodity hardware to create the desired IT infrastructure. Operators can control satellites from any location through a variety of computer platforms, including mobile.

Maximum Flexibility: Aurora’s software architecture is modular, and it can be tailored to support the most common CubeSat mission architectures.

On-Demand Global Coverage: A worldwide network of ground stations, in partnership with LeafSpace and Amazon AWS Ground Station, ensures a global coverage that can be tailored to the needs and the budget of any space mission.

Mission Control as a Service: Operators can completely outsource the control of the mission to D-Orbit and focus on data processing.

State-of-the-art security: The software is installed in a private cloud instance with AES256 encryption 2FA token user authentication, to ensure a state-of-the art cyber security protection. Deployment on a private local server is also possible.
